Went for dinner got the Rib Eye so delicious definitely going back and already recommended a few people

Waited for over an hour at a 1/4 filled restaurant to be told they couldn’t seat 2 people. This place is ran terribly. Don’t go!! edit: This was on Sun Oct. 22 from 5-6 pm. I spoke with a male manager who told us there was no way he could seat 2 of us after we waited for 45 minutes, checked in on time, was told 15 more and then Manager said there was no way they could seat us that night. At same time there was a party of about 10 that said they called twice in advance and spoke to two different people who said they could take them in an hour and manager said no chance to them too. I can understand if they were short staffed, but didn't give any other options and thus has lost a customer for life after this being my go-to spot when in Old Town in past.

Worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. Watched the owner loudly condemn a server for just asking a question. Our server told us they work seven hour shifts without breaks? (better business bureau anyone?). On our way out, we literally saw an employee quit and walk out. Several employees (including the hostess) had on an anklet bracelet. It took us over an hour to get our drinks (we were almost done with our food). And speaking of the food it’s just plain bad. Way overpriced and horrible quality. I recommend you run don’t walk away from this place.

Went for lunch today as we found ourselves in Old Sac and we used to love the old place on 65th, figured it would be a similar experience. Took a while to take our order, and ordered a simple pizza, fries, and 2 house beers. Nothing complex. Fries took about 15 m to arrive, a bit odd. Then the pizza came out about 30m after we ordered it, and was undercooked. Like the cheese wasn’t even melted and the crust was still dough. Had to remind the indifferent server that we also ordered drinks as well, so had to rush through these when they finally arrived. Would have sent the pizza back but we had kids that needed to get fed and home for a nap. All in about an hour to get some fries, a cold pizza and half a beer. Don’t know if ownership has changed, or the bad experience was due to the location in a touristy area, but it killed any enthusiasm I had for the place from before.

Pear-suit of happiness will definitely be my go to from now on.

HORRIBLE! I almost never leave reviews especially during Covid when restaurants really struggled. This however, I cannot let pass. First it took forever to get seated even though we were the only ones waiting and the restaurant was about 30%. Next when we ordered drinks the waitress listed off about 5 beers they were out of. Huh?! You’re a brewery. Once food was ordered, she came back twice to tell us the items we ordered was out. This was a Friday at 630! 3 of 4 us got our food but it trickled out. The 4th person (my 8 yo) waited and waited. I finally asked the waitress where her food was and she went to go check. She came about 5 minutes later and made some excuse. My guess was it had been sitting there then they threw it back in the fryer to get it warm again. Then finally, I ordered impossible tacos. When I got the eating the last one, I notice it was raw. Now granted it’s not meat but for meat eaters this should be concerning! If they can’t cook fake meet, how could they cook real meat?! Do yourself a favor and walk across the street and just got to a classic like Fanny Ann’s . The only reason I gave it 2 stars was that the waitress was sweet and the ambiance.

Horrible experience! Waitress had a bad attitude. Sat us in a horrible spot. When there was empty spots everywhere. Did not want to move us when we asked. We had people from out of town to impress. Ruined our day! Never again. Update: The booths we wanted to sit in and I asked for, were empty after we left. All 5 of them!! "Supposedly They were reserved". Word will travel.

Service took forever… wouldn’t recommend going and I won’t be back anytime soon

I visited this place two times and both times couldn't get food. The first time was was near a year ago, in the evening and they said the kitchen had closed but not until after we we're seated and looked at the menu. Second time was today and we walked in at 2:20 and there was a sign up that said no seating until 2:30 pm. There where people in the restaurant, many open tables, and people at the bar. I walk into the bar portion and I was stopped by a server, and was told they weren't serving until 2:30 pm. I told her I understood that and I'd like to sit at the bar and get a drink. She seemed not to understand why I would want to sit down at the bar, and went to the bartender and said something I couldn't hear. I sat at the bar and asked the bartender if I could order something. She stared at me and I asked again if I could order something, (a beverage) until they are serving. She said "and still you persist" and so I left. I was sober and calm, there was absolutely no reason for me to receive such a cold reception and disrespectful tone. I don't understand why I didn't receive the same respect that the people that were already seated had received or any explanation why there was a problem. After two negative visits I have to assume the staff aren't interested in providing good customer service and it's not a good place to visit.
