I come here exclusively for the baked chashu baos which are divine! Meat is amazing and buns have a hint of sweetness. Cash only.

Best egg tart in the South Bay. Their steamed rice cakes are pretty good too. Been going to this bakery for 30 years.

Small place with super friendly people and the most delicious steamed custard buns. I am heading there again today to try some other items. Cash only:)

My husband has been coming here since he was a kid. Food is very consistent, and the owner is so nice. We usually get egg tarts, but we have also enjoyed the Hong Kong mochi, custard buns, coconut cake, BBQ pork buns, and more!

Cash only. No preservertive! So fresh. Whenever we visit Mountain View, we would stop in Hong Kong Chinese Bakery. They have the banana mochi that reminds me of my childhood delight. We buy at least half a dozen or a dozen to go. Our favorites: banana flavored mochi, baked or steamed BBQ pork bun, paper wrapped sponge cake! The lady behind the counter was very nice every time we visited.

This is one of the best hole in the wall experiences on Castro. I enjoyed my curry beef bun so much, stole a bite of my husband's baked pork bun, then ran back into the store to get one for myself. My husband also cried over how good his mango mochi was, and I adored the sweet sesame ball. The people who run this establishment are also very kind. 12/10 will be coming back!
