Honey Butter Fried Chicken

Recent changes in pricing and availability are tough to maneuver. Semi-recently, they stopped allowing an upgrade on the sandwiches to a fried chicken breast. This was a tougher goodbye for me because the fried chicken breast (fcb) was better suited for the sandwiches, IMO. Their pricing has fluctuated large amounts recently, and sandwiches have been costing two to three dollars more/less. Their Buffalo chicken Mac n' Cheese is some of the best. I am attempting to stay committed to them and trying to enjoy the original fried chicken sandwich (not fcb) with an egg. Pricing and creation for this sandwich have been a nightmare. I arrived for brunch and ordered my original fried chicken brunch sandwich, biscuit, and coffee. My food/sandwich was delivered, missing an egg. This happened because the new website food selection for brunch does not include an egg with the original fried chicken sandwich. I spoke up and was provided an egg free-of-charge. This means the original fried chicken brunch sammie costs more.

I take home, and the chicken is still good!!

Super chill ordering, friendly and attentive staff, and absolutely banger chicken and biscuits. Lemonade was great too.

Delicious but pricey

I've eaten here a few times and my experience is always up and down. Sometimes the chicken is the best in the world and sometimes it's very dry and tough. This is the first time I have been truly disgusted with their food. Idk what happened but I bit into one of the cornbread, and it was so sour and disgusting it made my mouth go numb. This white powdery ball was in the corn bread, I have no idea what it was, but it scared me to death because my mouth became numb! I have attached the photo of what I found. I had the two piece chicken meal, the chicken was dry and tough and the other corn bread was fine. The Mac n'cheese and kale salad are always good. But unfortunately I will never eat here again after that scare.

Chicken, service and dining room so nice I was surprised there wasn't a line wrapped around the block. They have a unique flow of service. You take a menu, seat yourself then return to the counter when you're ready to place your order and pay. Everything you might need throughout your visit is available to you in the dining room so you won't need to ask staff for anything other than to go boxes should you be able to pry yourself away from their yummy chicken, potatoes and grits. I absolutely love the fact that you can wash your hands here without going to the restroom and hope this trend picks up. If you're uncomfortable with using reusable cutlery, plastic wear is available upon request. They really know what they're doing with sauces so I'm glad I ordered a flight so I could sample them all. My favorites were umamicue sweet chili BBQ herby reach, honey mustard, and honey buffalo. I typically only like homemade mashed potatoes so I was shocked by how delicious the super smash was. Potatoes were perfectly mashed, it was oozing with white cheddar, bacon crema, scallions and topped with fried chicken. We washed it all down with the most refreshing ginger ale I've ever had and 50/50. If you're a fan of Arnold Palmers you'll love their version called 50/50. For once I have absolutely no critiques, it was that good. Service was quick, pleasant, the dining room is cozy, full of natural light, plants and satisfied customers.

I really love this place. Perfect for vegetarians with meat eating partners/friends. My boyfriend can have a hearty chicken sandwich, and I normally get the Bubbe with tofu. I love the slaw and the sauce. Make SURE to get the corn muffins with the honey butter, they are the perfect side and great to split between two people. We just went for the first time for brunch and that was fabulous! My sister and I got the French toast and the tofu honey butter sandwich with an egg on it and split those. They were both so delicious, the egg was the perfect add on for the tofu and the French toast was different from any French toast I've ever had! My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken and cheddar scallion biscuit waffle and really loved that as well. We are always really satisfied when we visit this place, and we are always happy to come back. Vegetarian options: You can swap chicken out for tofu on any sandwich.
