Honey Bear's BBQ

I got the catfish dinner with mac and cheese with the bro beans. I also got a side of peach cobbler when I say the food was delicious. The catfish was seasoned well and crispy. The macaroni&cheese was the prefect. The beans took me back to my childhood. They have sausage or hotdogs in them. They were just darn good! The peach cobbler was good, I like my crust flaky. I will order again.

Overall pleasant experience. Brisket was very moist and tasty. The brisket however, came chopped and we were not offered to have it be sliced. 9/10 The pulled pork was good but a little dry. 8/10 The BBQ sauce was very tasty. It was a little acidic. 9/10 The Mac was a 6/10, a little bland. Collard greens were good. 7/10 Baked beans were tasty. It tasted a bit like they had a tomato sauce base with some kind of pepper. 8/10 Normal French fries were very good 8/10. However, the chicken cheese fries the fries were soggy. 4/10 The ribs were very good. They came pre-coated with BBQ sauce which I’m not normally a fan of but the BBQ sauce was good so it ended up good. They meat could have been seasoned more pre-BBQ sauce and also they were a little inconsistent with a few being dry. 8/10 The coleslaw was good. 8/10 The peach cobbler was not good. Peaches tasted like canned peaches and the crust was like a bad pie crust. 1/10 Overall pretty good place. The meats were all good but the sides were a bit of a let down compared to our expectations. Fast service, and decent building. Because the dessert let us down so much it lost a star.

Got food from the food truck. Literally 3 oz of meat for $17. Came in a tiny container. Would have gotten double the amount for same price at a restaurant on this street.

Worked with Anna for catering lunch for our office. The interaction was amazing, she was so nice, worked with me and made sure we got every one served with enough food and in my budget. would recommend

Once again, Honey Bear's hit it out of the park! Pulled pork, chicken, and fried catfish with sides and peach cobbler! The best!

This cost me $27.85. It was a soggy pulled pork sandwich, three ribs (only one of which was decent), six spoonfuls of potato salad, and a regular fountain drink. The menu had it priced at $20.89. See attached photos. Where did the extra seven dollars come from? At 21 bucks this meal is semi-justifiable. At almost 30 I’m not even taking a second look. I went to Honey Bear’s monthly as a kid and a young adult, I went back today because I was in the neighborhood and I can confidently say I won’t ever be back after this experience.
