Ordered 36 prepaid latkes 4 days prior to pick up with owner Erik. Checked on order 4 hours prior to pick up. Was told all was fine. At pick up only half, 18 were available instead 36. Immediately Requested speaking to Erik on Dec 10 to no avail. Repeated over 2 weeks tried again to no avail. Contacted Corporate Office person named Ofeer who promised we would hear from Erik. As of Jan 1st, no return call. Zero respect for customer and zero responsibility.
Food was ok, arrived late and cold. Salad is saggy and tasteless. Rice is clumpy, and came as a mesh. French fries was cold and tasted “old”. Ordered from here before, food was always decent. Will have to consider twice to order again
If you want to clearly read a menu and know what the food prices are, this place isn't for you. Menu had prices and lunch specials listed and we were there on a weekday 11-3. Ordered a lunch special sandwich, 2 shwarma rice bowls and a create your own salad with Brisket. We expected to pay the prices on the menu, and the waiter/manager did not inform us any prices would be different. The check came and the lunch special of 15.99 was 22.99, and the salad with toppings should have been 20.24 but we were charged 22.49. Normally pointing this out to a waiter would get an apology and quick correction but we were given explanations such as: 1) the menu says "prices subject to change anytime" (from the time we ordered to the time we paid?) 2) the computer has new prices (but your menu doesn't, nor does it have a note. And the waiter did not inform us about the price change). 3) kosher food is expensive (of course, but you still expect to pay price on menu) Eventually the waiter/manager called another manager and he agreed to refund $4, which makes no sense since we were overcharged more than that. And after all the discussions the $4 refund was never credited to my friend's credit card. Anyway, if you choose to eat here check your bills very carefully. Very bad business practices so I will stay away. The food review- schwarma was okay (not on a spit like some places do it), brisket was very good, matzoh ball soup was great, Israeli salad ok (very large pieces, little dressing), portions were plentiful. There are better Israeli places in Brooklyn but on staten island kosher food is more limited. Prices on menu (which is not what we paid for everything) was in line with most kosher places. Atmosphere was takeout style with some tables. Parking: Park before you reach the restaurant in free lot. Few spots in front.
