I’ve been coming here since the paint was drying. As an “industry” alum of the Ballard brewery scene, I can honestly say that Holy Mountain offers what 99.9% of craft breweries do not: 1. No kids!!! Thank you sweet baby Jesus for offering one beautiful unicorn of a space in Seattle where I can get a beer without being rammed by a stroller. I get it. People have kids…but people also don’t. 2. No waiting in line behind people who want to drink a thimble of every beer on the menu before they “invest” in a $6 pint. Appreciate that immensely (maybe I’m just a bitter former bartender.) 3. Gnarly music. Love the vibes. Anywhere I can get a good pils while Judas Priest “Delivering the Goods” plays is a place for me. Keep delivering the goods!
Holy Mountain is the best brewery in WA. 2nd place isn’t even a very close 2nd. I truly don’t know how HM could get a score less than 5. They are one of three breweries to go in my “elite” category. We are so lucky to have them this close as my other 2 elite breweries are in CA. I wish I could give them a higher score.
Always good beers and the best T-shirts in the city. Some fantastic anniversary beers currently
Best beer on the planet man
Holy Mountain *is* the holy mountain of beer in the PNW. It is pretty simple, just try a few beers and see what you think. Read on for some nerdy input, haha. But please visit and give yourself a try (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧ Stretch your mind, and take in Belgian/French inspired ales. Relax, and rely without care on true quality with a barrel aged dark ale, or a crafted IPA to tease out an amazing and inviting aroma or a flourishing finish across your palate. Genuine craft and skill--HM is stellar in the world no doubt. Look for their collabs as well and follow their "disciples"/companions too as it does rub off, and we are all rewarded for it (e.g. FG, E9, et al.). But cannot recommend more to stop in once in awhile at Interbay and just slow down and enjoy the visit. There is Dantini pizzeria now next door which is really welcome too and pretty tasty. Visit 9-Sep-22 was fab, see photos attached (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧
I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Incredible beer, great space, wonderful staff.
Among the best beer experiences I've ever had. I cannot recommend it enough.
Okay beer, but rude staff that's not friendly to foreigners. Member of our party was told to leave after presenting his valid UK ID, the rest of us had to leave too and we've heard some rude comments from the bartender on the way out. Do not recommend this place.
I’m disappointed in a couple things. One, it’s silly not to offer samples. We asked the staff member why and he spewed out a pre-recorded spiel about how they could not afford to “give away most of our product as a small brewery.” Every single other microbrewery in the city is able to pull this off without failing, and, let’s be real. It’s a tiny amount of product compared to a full pour. Second, I asked what his favorite was or if he recommended anything. He just went with recommending the lager. How boring! It was clear he was suggesting the most milquetoast option, without asking anything about my personal taste or preferences at all. The lack of effort was clear. The IPA was okay, but, it’s not like IPAs are hard, anyway. There’s so many great breweries in Seattle. Pick a more friendly one. The trains are cool at least.
