Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

Starting to explore the ramen restaurant around Richmond, and this one definitely impressed me a lot by their food. Ordered a large side Kara-Miso(Spicy Miso) Ramen and the broth is wonderful: good amount of spice, and not fatty at all. The noodles and the vegetables are also pretty good too, but I am definitely in love with that Chashu. It is probably the best Chashu I've tasted in a ramen restaurant at the moment. Sound a bit over exaggerated but the fact that I have no problem finish the entire bowl with the broth pretty much sums up my thoughts on the food in this restaurant. The service and setting in the restaurant are top notch as well, giving it a clean and comfortable feeling to the customer, nothing can go wrong with that. I'll definitely comeback next time, and I am going to try the rest of the ramen with different kinds of broth. I'll be looking forward for more!

Tasty ramen but they only had 3 sizes. The large was not large enough. They need a papa bear size.

The restaurant was extremely warm and stuffy as soon as you entered. The heat was on either too high, or they lack ventilations. I chose the Salmon Bowl combo with the Kara Miso Ramen.i asked for middle spice , which when I got it , had harder any spices to it … no kick … the salmon bowl had a VERY fishy taste , hence why I do not think the salmon is fresh .. my friend tried to tell me it could be because it’s “ smoked salmon” .. however , it has no smoke taste , just a fishy salmon flavour…this is coming from someone that likes eating salmon and that eats raw fish all the time… The ramen itself lack flavour… it’s nothing special. Hence why I give it three stars for the food. Service was very good. They are super attentive. They are very nice. And the order is always obtained right. So, on that part, I would give it a five star.

The location is very convenient, and there's usually no need to wait in line.

I been a Santouka customer since they first opened up at Robson. I am so happy they opened one in Richmond! The service is excellent. The waitresses are polite and well mannered. The food is bomb as usual. 10/10 I will definitely be coming here weekly!
