Steak and onions is AMAZING!!
Tried Hoagie House for the first time today. Had a tuna salad and a cheesesteak. The tuna salad was the better of the two. The cheesesteak needed more cheese or mayo or something else - it was a bit too dry. Overall it's OK.
Lady at the front and all the other staff were super nice and helpful. Food was decent. Fries were great. Ranch and honey mustard were great. Philly was decent as was the pretzel. 8 out of 10. Would recommend.
Ow it's a Hogie House. It's tasty tasty, just eatin' in or take out. It's a Hogie House. Their sandwiches are stacked and that's a fact. You're gonna want to come back.
Very friendly and super nice food is always fresh and delicious
Seriously, how are people sleeping on this place? You have chains like JJs or a Way for Subs, and you have some local options that are Beyond good choices. But this fills a niche for an honest to goodness East coast style hoagie. The prices are good, the sandwiches are tastier than a bass lick in a George Clinton song, and the service is personable and chill. The interior is a little run down, but it's honest. It's an older place that has seen a lot of foot traffic and been a part of Tucson history, it deserves its scratches and chips in the paint. And just like any well worn establishment, there's a reason it has stuck around. The pastrami is bomb. I need to tear myself away from that and order something else next time, but it's so hard to with a sammie that legit. Don't sleep on this place. Try it. You'll love it.
but why dont they spell hoagie the philly way?!?
Bought lunch for 45 people. Everyone loved it.
