Hogfish Seafood & Smokehouse

Everything was great. Portions were huge and satisfying.

Hogfish has a nice fun, relaxed atmosphere. Very laid back and inviting. They have a nice patio seating area and plenty of space inside. It's very clean and you can tell that it is managed well. The servers are great. Very attentive. The food was tasty. I ordered catfish and it came with two sides and some hush puppies. As well as some wings and a salad. I know in this economy that food prices are extremely high. I do think that it was a little overpriced but again in this economy everybody is kind of struggling to keep up. For example, a chicken salad was $17. In my opinion I think that's overpriced. Maybe if it was $12 to $14 I could understand but $17 almost $20 is out of range and then if you wanted to add fish to it it becomes $24. But back to the food everything came out extremely hot, fresh and delicious. The catfish was a little undersized but it was fine. The smoked chicken wings were just okay. I wouldn't say that they were my absolute favorite but they were just fine. I'll touch dry. I maybe would have brined them especially if I was going to smoke them because the inside was not very juicy. I probably wouldn't order them again. But I would go back there to try some different dishes again. The price was a little bit more than I loved, but of course we paid for it and we enjoyed our experience. Kid-friendliness: They have a nice patio area. We're families can be out and enjoy.

This place has a funky bar vibe (and smell). Many of the menu items were "Market Price." One of our appetizers was an order of fried mushrooms, which consisted of a small plastic basket (a lot of the food was served in these) with 10 mushrooms, none bigger than a quarter for $10.95 ($1+ per mushroom). These were nothing special, not gourmet or in some way worthy of that price. They may have even been frozen. I found that many of the prices on the physical menu had been raised without updating the menu on their website. The idea of BBQ and seafood in the same restaurant is a good one, but the execution was lacking. Bar atmosphere, high prices, and small portions can't coexist in the same restaurant for very long.

Me and my family ordered food and wings are supposed to be the best in the area. We had crusty little wings that had no meat on the bones I was very unimpressed. When I told that to the waitress she blew it off. When you advertise the best wings in Loveland they better be the best wings and Loveland in for the price I paid, not so good. I definitely am not going back to this restaurant.

Came here after having a horrible experience at the Asian cafe and grill hint hint save yourself some misery and just come here. This was such a fantastic experience I gave our waitress a 20$ tip she was so great I was so caught up in my bad experience that I didn't even get her name anyways the food was great the everything was just perfect. This establishment just got a lifetime customer
