I gave the food 2 stars because I'm not a big fan of German food, but their giant pretzel, beers, live music and atmosphere were awesome...
Nice food, Nice Drinks and Nice German music...
Atmosphere is not the same
Great authentic German food. This is the most authentic food we’ve had since living in Germany. We went during the day when it first opened, so it was a bit empty. I would love to come back Oktoberfest time frame and enjoy it at its peak!
If you want good German food this is not the place
Can't recommend. This was once an amazing spot and it still has a great atmosphere --- But they are gouging their customers and I would no longer recommend this place to visitors. 1L Beer is now $25 (far more than other places near the strip). Food was never amazing but has really dropped in quality. Feels like they are cutting costs everywhere and raising prices at the same time.
Service would have been a million times better had COCOandhispaddle still been working at this fine establishment! that was the atmosphere!!! #bringCOCOback!
I've been to this Hofbrau 20x plus. Sorel ruined this place for us. We went at 5pm, on a Monday (not busy) and he was awful. I can't imagine how awful he'd be at a busier time. He was very unattentive and we had to beckon him instead of checking on us - several times, even for water! We had to get the manager for his incorrect ring up also, but once resolved, Sorel said he was "going to eat the cost because we were wrong" and then decided to attempt to ignore us and not take our card payment - which we quickly understood was par for his course so we gave them the cash we owed with $2 extra as his tip. That's what you get for horrible service and then attempting to ignore us.... we won't be returning, I will just remember our Hofbrau in Germany and the Vegas good times we had prior to this one.
Went for lunch on a Monday, around 1pm, not busy at all. Starting with food, the Jägerschnitzel was absolutely delicious. Comes with a side of spätzle (very bland on its own), bacon, mushroom gravy, cranberry sauce. All topped with crispy fried onions. Wanted to try the käsespätzle, but unfortunately you can’t get it as a sub or a side, only as a $20 entrée. They were also completely out of Apfelstrudel, which was the main thing I wanted. However, the black forest cake was delicious. The service was good, but ultimately nothing to write home about. Nothing special or spectacular as far as the Vegas scene is concerned. Lastly, the atmosphere is a little bizarre. Bavarian music playing the whole time, which is neither here near there. Bar style tables that seat eight people or so, nothing smaller at all. It’s probably fun on Oktoberfest or a busy weekend, but middle of the day, it just felt weird.. Nice little gift shot full of overpriced steins, lederhosen, etc for the Vegas shopper. Overall, would go back, just at a different time of day.
