We drive from over an hour away to indulge in this gem. Their sandwiches and smoothies are out of this world, just give the chef time to cook, it's very much worth it. Kid-friendliness: Chill atmosphere. Plenty for the kids to look at & eat.
It was a good place to eat, but was pretty pricey for what I got. The building looks cool, but is more themed on the outside than the inside. I was impressed by the decor, though. Overall the atmosphere was novel, and the service was good. I just ended up paying ~$40 for an appetizer and a burger/fries, which felt steep for me. Just note that you have to pay for sides, and beverages are like $5. Parking: Parking lot was free but busy and almost full
Such a cool place we went on a "journey" to get to for lunch. I knew I was in a fun spot when "elves" walked in right behind us (a couple came in wearing elf ears). The food is good and we had a great second breakfast (or was it luncheon)! Kid-friendliness: Whether your kids have read or watched LOTR, the restaurant is a hit. And you just might get to see an elf (or people dressed as elves).
Yes I would recommend, but I also can't fathom frequently this place in any capacity. You're definately paying for the novelty eith some steep prices, but if you can afford it then go nuts. Vegan options are great, the burger itself was wonderfully delicious but I have to knock it down a lot for the buns alone. Crumbly and cheap feeling. Why make something so delicious and serve it on a disappointing bun? Drinks were delicious, we ordered a flight and the value for them was reasonable. I wasn't happy with the service, but to our servers credit we were a large party. Since I was sitting towards the back, we were very overlooked. If I go back with a different experience I will update, but for now I'd leave it at it's worth at least one try.
Really good and affordable food, with a Lord of the Rings theme. Huge menu too.
