The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, they have a great tap list, and the bartenders Blaze and Caitlyn were attentive and so friendly! Our group had a great night out here and will absolutely be back again.

Idk why but this place makes me feel like I’m a midevil monarch and I should always transport myself to the rooftop on a dragon and have the server read me the menu on a scroll. For goodness sake this place serves chicken tinders on the menu. A place that has all these different “Ale” drinks serves chicken tinders and a main entree. I guess a place that makes you feel like you should be sitting at the knights of King Arthur’s round table in the year of our lord 2024 in the most plain place in America what can you really ask for! At least put a $90 boar’s head on the menu and I say this a black man who is pescatarian. The food was at least good when we dined in, and my fries weren’t cold. Ish had me saying ‘shashashasha’ as I bite into one of them and had to wait 15 seconds before going for another one of them but if y’all don’t get some dragon blood and elf noses on the menu by September 3rd I’m coming in that kitchen and challenging the cook to a game uno and when he loses he has to go live in Scotland for 12 years until he gets an accent and learns to cook with leprechauns and ware wolves before he can come back.

Edit: we did give it another try, and ultimately it’s the same experience unfortunately. They also serve brunch but don’t have coffee. Used to be one of my favorite spots in town. It makes me really sad to write this review. I’ve frequented historians for almost a decade and I’m not sure what happened in the last couple of months but I likely won’t be back unless something changes. I want to see this business succeed, so I hope management takes note of some of these most recent reviews We came for brunch today and you order food now from the bar and pick up from the bar, yet the cost of food is about 20-30% more expensive. ~$16 for brunch plates. They’ve taken away nearly every vegetarian option and charge extra to sub your protein for avocado. Also it’s served in paper dishes which is not only wasteful but definitely changes the experience. It’s like the entire restaurant staff is gone and they are running on a bare bones crew. It’s clear this is an effort to improve profit in an unstable economy. But a place that used to be packed on a weekend at noon was totally dead. I know this is an attempted solution to a widespread problem but I just don’t see it working out and I would hate to see a big chain take it’s place.
