I enjoyed my time at the Hillstone. I had an appointment close so why not try a new place. The food was delicious. My clam chowder, definitely one of the best I have had in SF. The setting is upscale service.
Beautiful ambiance and kind staff! The chicken sandwich is DE-LI-CUOUS! Drinks well made. I’d pass on the fries next time but everything else was tops!
Great food, plenty of seating, although service can be a bit slow at peak lunch times.
This was the historic "Houstons" franchise experience I recall. Cannot bear the venue, and our server was attentive in just the right frequency. That said... food was satisfactory and in my humble opinion, very over priced. $225 (Inc tip) for 2 sandwiches, 1 order of fries and one salad , plus a dessert, even with 2 bloody Mary's and 1 glass of wine was not a value play. Glad we celebrated my wife's birthday in a beautiful setting, but I think we wi stick to the great variety of restaurants in the East Bay for the foreseeable future. Parking: No surprise.... expensive scarce metered street parking. We arrived close to opening and got the last spot we saw within 2 blocks.
