Hillgarten Beer & Wine Garden

The only thing that keeps me from coming more frequently are the prices, as some items can be a little steep. Otherwise, I absolutely love this place. They have great food, and a solid beer selection. It’s obviously best during spring-fall, but the new addition of a tent does make this a place to stop year round. Service has always been great and the place is very clean and organized, even the bathrooms in the back. Great place to bring a few people and a pup and sit around the fire enjoying German beer and sausages. Hope they stick around!

It’s the type of place you don’t want anyone to know about so you have it all to yourself, but you NEED everyone to know about it so it stays in business. Hilliard NEEDS HILLGARTEN!

My wife has wanted to go since it opened finally had a Chace it was a nice time!!

Had family in town and we stopped at Hillgarten for a few afternoon beverages and maybe a small snack. Hillgarten is a small slice of Germany plunked down in the middle of Hilliard. There is a walk-up serving area to order and take your drinks and food back to your table. A reasonable beer listing (all available to be put into a flight if you wish), a decent selection of wines, and a nice menu of food to either nibble (the pretzel is very reminiscent of Oktoberfest) or a meal. Nice that they have rotating beers by season. The layout is a mix of small and large tables, a "stage" area where they may have music going, and some picnic tables. The strung lights look like they will be nice in the evening and one of the employees looked like they were stringing lines for vines to be grown (maybe hops?). Lots of families, couples and groups, there is room for everyone here. For winter, snow gloves to rent, a heated tent, and hot drinks!

The food here is so good! We went late at night and it was chilly out, but they provided blankets and we cuddled up by the firepit to eat. The sausages are phenomenal, the beer cheese was fantastic, and the sauerkraut was the best I've ever had (better than my grandma's homemade, shhhh!). We will definitely be back!!!

Just went for drinks and music but we loved it.

Love this place! Beautiful day or night, summer or winter. The food is unique and delicious. The drinks are good too. Thank you for creating this place!
