One of my absolute favourite spots! Love the vibes! Food's great, drinks are even better, and there's often live music!

The Hideout may or may not have good food and service but I can assure you that for 4 nights we have and others in the neighborhood have had to tolerate noise from their restaurant patio from loud music, singers that sing like they are in pain and loud guests. This patio restaurant is in a hotel that also has guest rooms over the restaurant patio and I am sure that their guests, like everyone around have had to tolerate the poor management of the noise levels. Any restaurant owner would want to ensure others were not affected negatively by their business projecting noise that is nothing short of noise pollution. I would not recommend this establishment for eating especially if you want to enjoy listening to your company. Not to stay at the hotel with rooms directly above the restaurant. I know we will definitely share our experience with others. We understand that we are in the thick of the hotels but we have not heard noise like this from any other establishment. I called to complain and the staff member I spoke to agreed they could hear the entertainment singing through my mobile phone. The red lighted zone in the attached photos is the stage from which their entertainment played. We could hear them for hours even with our sliding glass doors closed.

Sometimes its hard to post a review with lower ratings. When you really see a great product but there are couple of things that fks things up. The place is great excellent, excellent waiters and the food is fantastic. I stayed at the Laylow for three days and went to eat at the HIdeout 3 times by myself. Why the bad review you ask? Every hostess who seats you is an uppity runt. They dont treat you well if you are by yourself and want a table,,,,even a two seater one and even if 5 of them are available and stay available for couple of hours. It was so bad that i had to get up and leave on the 4th morning i was there because no one would come to serve me. They need to get these women to bring their attitude down a notch. I know they love big crowds but my review is based on my personal experience....

Came here for breakfast, it’s such a cute rooftop terrace, really enjoyed the food. The prices are pretty reasonable.

I had been eagerly anticipating my birthday celebration at Hideout at The Laylow Waikiki, but sadly, it turned out to be a major letdown. We had made reservations well in advance for a busy Saturday night (my birthday), and after an expensive cab ride across the island, we arrived in high spirits, dressed for the occasion. However, upon reaching the front desk, we were hit by the news that our table was no longer available due to rain. It was disheartening to be told at the door that we 'no longer had a reservation,' especially since I've never experienced this with a pre booked reservation anywhere else before. What made matters worse was the lack of proactive communication earlier in the day to warn us about the possibility of losing our reservation due to inclement weather. We were simply put on a waitlist for an inside table, with an estimated wait time of over an hour. Stranded without any immediate alternatives and unable to navigate the rainy weather in our attire, we reluctantly sought refuge at a cheap and empty nearby bar, trying to salvage the evening in our nice outfits. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we were seated outside with only umbrellas and towels provided as a makeshift solution. It was only after some time that we were relocated to a slightly more sheltered area, but by then, the damage had been done. While the staff were friendly and the drinks were decent, the lack of compensation or proactive solutions to our inconvenience was disappointing. As a local, I feel compelled to caution others, especially those planning special occasions, about the lack of contingency plans for rainy weather on busy nights. I'd advise against setting high expectations, especially if rain is in the forecast.

Lovely rooftop bar with some nice relaxing seating. Friendly for my family and very attentive to your needs. Mahalo

Hideout is such a beautiful spot to enjoy some excellently crafted cocktails. All of their signature cocktails are amazing that we tried (which is most of them!) oh and the live music in the evenings is such a nice touch. Must go on your trip to Waikiki for a special but still laid back evening.
