Food is quite overpriced for what it is and everything is very very salty and overly complicated. Would love to see them tone down the "fusion-ness" of all the things and maybe lower prices by 15%. Ambiance is super lovely and chill, with great service / staff. LOVE all the plants and the giant windows. Def a decent date for cocktails + small bites, but not a foodie destination. The place is quite hard to find - Hidden leaf is an apt description. Like trying to find Koroks.
The best dumplings anywhere. The owner is a very special chef!
Negative 1000 review. I tried to ignore the fact the person making my food (Kid with the tatoo on his neck) didn't use gloves to make my food in front of my face. When I went back to my desk and put a whole dumpling in my mouth it seemed super off. I spit out most of it. I checked the other 3 dumplings ... Completely raw chicken!!!!! I'm at risk right now of getting salamenila poisoning because I was given raw chicken. I went back to ask for a manager the kid said there was none around until 4pm. Then I proceeded to tell him he gave me raw chicken and showed him. This kid laughed . You are going to get me sick and you laugh? Public health is funny? Is the raw chicken ok enough for him to eat it? I demanded my money back and he gave me $5 more than I paid. I took it so I can go back and tell the manager the employee is making business decisions above their pay grade, with money that's not theirs. When I went back after 4pm the doors were locked. The kid thinks he's smart and lied to get out of trouble. Congratulations Hidden Dumpling you are having a dirty kid that can't cook and lies ruin your business. I am reporting you to the department of health. Fire that employee and retrain the rest.
The atmosphere and service were great. We went during happy hour and ordered a few specials and drinks. There was a special Dragon drink for lunar new year that came in the most fun cup. The food was okay and a fusion of different Asian cuisine. I’d skip the dumplings because they were underdone when we had them but the skewers weren’t bad.
We ordered everything in the “veg & tofu” section of the menu. Nothing wowed us and 3 or the 4 dishes were almost too salty to eat. Pleasant atmosphere if you don’t mind fake plants (I think there is no excuse). Service was off - hostess wouldn’t seat me until my partner arrived, though the bar and the restaurant were almost totally empty at 5:50pm and I had a reservation. Multiple waiters milled around when I did get seated but none offered to take my order. And it was expensive for what we had - $100 for water and 4 smallish vegetarian sides. So, no. I wouldn’t go back.
Service is tops atmosphere great food is good Vegetarian options: Vegan selection also available
