Waitress wasn't trained. She brought food without utensils . She didn't offer water. We also hat two people join us and she didn't give utensils with their food either and we had to request it. She didn't check with us often either. The Bartender was fabulous!!! The food was very good. The waitress needs trained.
Service was not great. Really slow.
The food is terrible! Expensive too. $8 for a drift beer. Crazy!! Terrible parking too.
My friend is pregnant, and she ordered a corn beef sandwich, didn't agree with her taste buds, and they were willing to exchange her order and not charge her for food. That was very considered of them.
We went to Hickory Tavern after a concert. We have done this several times and the place is never crowded. The food was good. The server may have been new. He was unsure about a couple of questions we asked but never checked to make sure. We had to wave him down to get our check. We never saw him between dropping off our food and getting the check. He was nice enough but not very proficient. Parking: The lot is very small. We had to park two blocks away even tho the restaurant was only half full.
This is not a place you go to for service. The food is good, but after over a dozen visits, I'm seriously confused about whether the staff actually understands they have to interact with customers as part of their job. Their awkward avoidance is kinda sad and creepy but never rude. Hostess takes you to a table... says, "Is this okay?" while walking away...no menus no mention of a waiter. Wait < 10 min .... have to ask who our waiter is.... they've walked past our table multiple times, just ignoring us. Delivers food then never returns to offer refills or ask if you need anything...have to actually walk around to find them for your check to leave... THIS HAPPENS EVERY VISIT, no matter who the hostess or waiter is. Yes, as professional adults, my colleagues and I still tip.
Shrimp and grits was delicious
