Nice outdoor seating and live jazz inside on a regular basis.

Really cool place...nice music and vibe--even a small stage inside and some nice seating outside tarped up for the cold and wet winter. I met my best friend here who was visiting from Florida (she used to live in Austin) and she putme on to this place. Really nice vibe and great food...had a veggie plate I think and also avocado toast. Cheap drinks and beer selection was solid. A very nice place to hang out--gotta return w my wife next time...definitely coming back for brunch and jazz. Service was stellar too, btw. 5 stars.

I visited Hi Hat for brunch and was very pleased. The steak and eggs were pretty good. The burger was very good. But what really got me to sit down and write a five star review was the blueberry bread pudding. Honestly, this is a gem of Austin. Bon appetit.

This place is an absolute gem. Unassuming neighborhood bar that puts out amazing food and hosts some of the best musicians in town multiple times a week. Whether you’re a local to the east side, a local to Austin, or a visitor from elsewhere, you will NOT be disappointed with a few hours in the Hat.

This is a really cool place. I came for lunch but I just know it’s even better when they have the music going. It’s very small but I can tell they have great music here, it’s just one of those cool atmospheres. The staff is really friendly. You order what you want at the bar and they bring it to your seat. I had the daily special which was a basil pesto base with sourdough - so so good.

Always a favorite. Excellent food (really fantastic!) and great staff. Also a very well curated craft beer selection.
