Hero Doughnuts & Buns

Don’t bother. You have to pay to park. And then, even though it’s 2 1/2 hours before closing, they have no donuts. Not a single one. The least they could do is put a sign in the window that says don’t bother paying to park and making the effort to come here, we have no donuts.

I absolutely love this place and everyone in it! Every time I'm in town I eat here. Not only is their food delicious and service amazing but they will also go above and beyond. I was there on a work trip and forgot a few receipts. I called them to see if they could email me those receipts. They had them to me the next day! Thanks for going out of your way to get those for me! It's the small things that make you HEROs.

REALLY hope this was just an off day. I've loved Hero and all their things from day one, but the burger I got a couple days ago was such a disappointment. Bland & tepid...all texture and little flavor. I'll forgive the mealy tomato because it's January, but goodness the rest of it was just... not good. The fries were hot and crispy but no seasoning and a little overcooked to be honest. I'll give them another try, but I truly hope this isn't a trend. :(

They had a bunch of selection but they all said Will's picks but not what the item was. Which was very confusing.But the person behind the counter was accommodating and helpful. The donuts were good, nothing real special. Will definitely be going back....Went back on January 12th, and the food was great, even better than before. The person who took my order was very helpful and polite. Which is rare nowadays. So hero's may very well become a staple in our life.

Terrific place, good food and such great service!

Right across from Railroad Park... sits this cute little donut shop. We ordered 4 donuts and shared them. We ordered a pistachio donut, a Strawberry donut, a donut with sprinkles and a maple sea salt donut. The maple donut was AMAZING! I also enjoyed the pistachio donut (a lot sweeter than I had anticipated). The pistachio donut was not salty as I had expected. Of course the strawberry glazed donut and donuts with sprinkles was good. Here's a well known secret: they make EVERYTHING from scratch in house. The donuts are made with brioche dough too! I'm definitely returning. I want to try their lunch and breakfast menu (both are served all day). I was expecting just a donut shop and found much more! Update: November 2023 I visited again! This time I learned that Hero changes out donuts on a regular basis! I tried lunch. Had the Turkey Avacado sandwich add pepper jack cheese. It was great! My friend had the loaded hashbrowns with fried chicken. Update: December 2023 Had the Hot Chocolate Donut (marshmallows on top), Maple Bacon Donut and the Bread Pudding Donut (did not like... I didn't prefer the aftertaste). Also had a Double Hero burger with hashbrowns (AMAZING) and the Turkey Avacado (AMAZING) W/ hashbrowns.

The best kept secret for brunch! Never too crowded and the food is always spectacular! The beignets are also the best I’ve ever had.
