Excellent Food and Service with a Smile. Bailey, who manages the front of the house is very accomodating and approachable. For example, restaurants have reasons that substitutions are not usually accepted, however when they are willing to forgo their policies in consideration of specific issues, in this case medical reasons, it shows they have a heart and are not just corporate shmorporate. Even though Hendrix is owned by a restaurant group they function more like a family restaurant, offering a unique set of restaurants with diverse, chef driven cuisines all of which use the highest quality ingredients, local artisanal products usually found in large city restaurants think San Francisco or Miami restaurants. Fortunately, Hendrix is not a national chain and this remains one of the reasons that I really like the staff here...they are treated like people rather than disposable assets (Cheesecake Factory anyone).. When it starts with good people from the top down, it functions more like a family restaurant which I promise is much more desirable to clients and less and less common these days. Kudos to the staff at Hendrix, where even late at night, when the shift ends in 15 mind... Great food is a reason to pick a restaurant but Professional Service is the reason people come back. Thanks Again. Highly Recommended for anything Rotisserie, Salads and Scrumptious Desserts! Oh and Pizza is a 9.5/10. Try it!

One of the best places in the area! Very great food, the service is always wonderful and I love the vibe there, the retro yet modern feel.

Happy hour is great here! Hours are 4pm to 6pm and they have a good cocktail menu for about $11 to $12. Had a delicious OC Mule with orange Stoli. Some of the best appetizers with red pepper hummus and pita chips. The calamari was super crispy and was served on top of an arugula salad with a yummy aioli. All apps around $10 to $12. Nathan was our server and gave good suggestions, friendly and timely. Even brought us extra chips for the hummus without having to ask.

This place did NOT live up to hype. Online pictures did NOT match reality. Food was “below average”. We ordered their supposed popular “prime rib”. Quality was poor with over 50% FAT. Vegetables were mediocre. Our friends ordered the “pork belly”. It did not look appetizing at all (over cooked). We ordered two desserts; “Toffee” cake was good. Don’t order the carrot cake. Only positive was the service. Our server was friendly and really tried. The atmosphere was fine but lowered level seem dated. Noise level was a bit high. So many other places in South county. I would not go back here.
