Henderson Castle

The staff was very pleasant. Appeared to be quite understaffed. The rooms were clean, but had no towels- we had 3 rooms and all 3 were without towels. The staff brought some up to our rooms later. Had dinner and brunch. Both meals, although the food was good, service was incredibly slow (3 hours to get dinner from the time we sat and 2 hours for brunch). Meals were cold by the time we were served and out of 6 people, 2 dinner meals and 2 brunch meals were served the incorrect food! Servers were inattentive as we were about the only one’s there. I was hoping for a great weekend, but it was less than mediocre. It was an unusually warm day and the building had no air conditioning so it was 74 degrees at night in the rooms and humid- tough to sleep.

Was a nice old place it appears they are trying hard to maintain on very reasonable rate. Stayed for dinner which was ok. Breakfast was lacking, we waited 20 min for someone to take our order. We gave up and left. Bed was comfortable and liked the electric fireplace and had a great view of kazoo. Room was much smaller than picture implied and was a number of minor maintenance issues. The mystery murder dinner looked like great FUN. Went back later for the massage and it was FANTASTIC!!

Our family of 7 completed a castle tour and a wine tasting. The service from the front counter staff, wine bartender, and even the chef were all above and beyond for our visit. Food & drinks: Amazing wine and cheese boards that pair well to the wine selection. The desserts were delicious.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay. I cannot express how great the staff was. From the moment my husband and i arrived we were welcomed instantly. The room was beautiful, the food spectacular. I cannot wait to come back and stay longer.

What a wonderful day at Henderson Castle. We enjoyed the high tea with a variety of goodies. We were given a tour of the castle with lots of information on the family. We were able to tour most of the rooms a few were occupied with guests. It's an amazing building! Then the cherry on top our couples massage with Bob and his mother! They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent! Our massages were wonderful! We also enjoyed a rooftop hot tub soak with a view over the entire city!! Such an amazing unique day! Cannot wait to come again for a wine tasting and hopefully another massage!

I helped plan a wedding for a friend with Andrea and other staff at Henderson and it was THE BEST WEDDING EVER! Andrea was so amazing to work with. Wedding guests spent the weekend at the castle and did not want to leave! The castle is historic so just be aware that there are not microwaves and mini fridges and it's far from your typical hotel - because it is so much better. If you want a historic and classy experiences with exquisite food and drink this is your place! Thanks to the Henderson staff - and especially Andrea - for making this an amazing weekend to remember!

I just started working here and I absolutely love it

I did quite a bit of research about the place and rooms before deciding on the room. I actually happened to be the first winner of romantic getaway at the castle to my surprise !! My parents stayed here over 10 years ago so I had an opportunity to explore the castle before. It’s a very romantic setting, which takes you back in time. They play pleasant music which literally takes you back in time while you’re having your meal there. The staff of the Henderson castle is extremely nice and helpful. I suggest to do a tour so you can see and learn about the history of this place and see the whole castle with all spaces and rooms. The breakfast ☕️was nice and I suggest going for a walk outside after the breakfast to explore the grounds. I did it while FaceTiming with my mother all the way across the world so she can see the castle one more time! I had a pleasure to meet François Moyet himself and had a pleasant interaction with him. Rooms: The rooms are charming. Take a tour and see which room is calling your name! Food & drinks: I was at Henderson castle for dinner and special events a few times and I love the charm of the castle .

I loved everything! My room was quaint and cozy. The food was amazing. The staff were helpful, friendly and willing to help with even the little things. I'm going to visit again soon.
