Very disappointed. Ordered a veggie bowl. It took 30 minutes for this place to make lightly steamed broccoli & cauliflower, with a side of white rice, hummus, and arugula. The hummus was bland, had very little taste, but it was a cute purple color. Four pieces of broccoli, and four pieces of cauliflower, both unseasoned. The meal, in its entirety, had NO TASTE.
Hella? More like, "Hell no" Got a chicken wrap. We were going to eat there but the tables outside were all dirty, so got it to go. I'm not all that fancy but this was the worst chicken I've ever had. After my first bite, I was wondering if the meat was bad. Two bites in, it tasted like fish .. do they serve salmon here? Tuna? I don't know what this is but it's gross. Hard pass. Never again.
Best chicken kabob I've ever had. The falafel... So soft and holds together extra yummy
I recently dined at Hella, a Mediterranean gem, and was thoroughly impressed! The combo plate I ordered was delicious, offering a variety of flavors that were both authentic and perfectly seasoned. My sister enjoyed a tasty chicken gyro, which was juicy and flavorful. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional customer service, particularly from the manager who surprised us with complimentary rice pudding. It was a delightful treat that perfectly ended our meal. I highly recommend Hella for anyone looking to enjoy quality Mediterranean cuisine and outstanding service. A definite five-star experience!
The chicken gyro was great. Everyone else enjoyed their food. My vegan family members were able to easily get the food they wanted and the staff was great about mentioning the other items ordered that had dairy.
Great food, small portion sizes. Spanakopita is a must try. Located in a nice chic area. Parking is a bit of a pain.
Service was great, but the food was average at best.
The food was just okay, a bit overpriced and bland. My steak wrapped wasn't much to write home about but the service was nice.
We (me and wife) went to this place over the weekend for lunch. It's a small eatery in Redwood City downtown close to the theatres and the staff were courteous and friendly. We ordered the Hella Veggie Plate and the Falafel plate. This was the best Mediterranean food I've had in the bay area. The food was delicious and the portion sizes didn't make me feel full and bloated. I will visit this place again for sure. Parking: You can park in the public parking garage nearby.
Place is very nice on the inside, love the decor and vibes I got from the restaurant. Has indoor and outdoor seating as well. Menu price is pretty standard, wrap was delicious with the hot sauce and fries were simple but delicious!
