Outrageous Overcharge at this truck restaurant! Avoid Like the Plague! This Eid celebration turned into a total rip-off at this restaurant on Exposition Blvd on 04/10/2024! We were a family excited for a celebratory lunch, and what did we get? Robbery disguised as a food truck! Let me tell you about the scheme they pulled. We ordered simple things: falafel, gyros, fries, and some drinks. Nothing fancy. Here's the breakdown: * Felafel with healthy fries ($15) * 2 Felafel pitas ($12 each, totaling $24) * Gyro pita ($12) * Gyro on rice ($17) * 4 Pepsi cans ($6.76, estimated) * 2 Water bottles (16.9 oz, estimated price $1.78) Simple math, right? This should have come out to around $76.54. But guess what? They charged us a whopping $93.75! That's a $17.21 difference they stole straight from our debit card! This is disgusting! Don't they understand the importance of celebrating holidays with loved ones? This is not just an overcharge, it's daylight robbery! Stay away from this deceitful truck! There are plenty of honest food vendors out there who won't steal from your wallet. Spread the word and avoid this place at all costs!

No prices on the menus and then overcharge you. $26 for chicken and rice ?! Absurd. Make sure you double check the prices on your receipt

I was excited for my meal and excited to try Falafel for the 1st time with yogurt sauce, hummus, rice etcetera a complete vegetarian plate. The food was bursting with flavor and a tolerable kick of spiciness. My job treated us for free lunch following a type of all hands or state of the department meeting that day. It was a Thursday & I usually work from home but decided to work in the office so I could attend the important meeting hosted by our department chair. Back to my hefty gyro food. I honestly would have given the highest rating but, after trying this meal and loving all the flavors and textures and cultural traditional dishes. I looked at my plate on the left by the sauce and the rice. After being completely satisfied with the meal I saw a long black straight hair looped through my yogurt sauce which I couldn't believe. I was like OMG! This is the worst thing to see after I just enjoyed almost every bite of food on my plate. Finding a hair just kills your vibe. I am sure it was an accident but, it's horrible. Makes me think what if I ate a piece mixed into another food item. What if I ate something else that is a total "no no" if I was a food critic which I consider myself to be to an extent. You start questioning whether these people are wearing hair nets and gloves while preparing your food. Is the inside of the truck clean where my food was prepared? Are the following all food safety measures. Just seeing a hair in your food makes you immediately feel nauseous. Now it's hard for me to recommend this food truck & eat here again. No, it wasn't my hair embedded in the sauce either!!! The food was great! It's what happened after my meal that's definitely a red flag. Vegetarian options: There's a very good amount of vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They can accommodate some dietary restrictions Parking: Parking Options are pretty horrible and very limited especially during construction at UC Davis Health. Food Trucks are lucky they have designated Options.

So I have never given one star on any google restaurant review. I have to say that I support the restaurant industry, and especially have reverence toward food trucks. However, my experience was so unpleasant I felt compelled to write about it. The young man who took my order was not only cold, but didn't answer my questions, or even acknowledge me until I handed him my credit card. At the very best he was unfriendly. I had the chicken salad, which was 18$. It was clearly pre-made, and the chicken had a dyed-red, nearly fluorescent and certainly artificial hue, and tasted off. The rest of the salad was mostly lettuce and otherwise unremarkable. However, immediately after eating, I experienced dysentery. I have felt like vomiting for the three hours since, and had to use the restroom several times due to feeling ill. I am hoping they just had an "off" day, but I wanted to write this because I don't want anyone else to have the same experience I did.

Ordered the combo plate at the Pride Festival DT. It was delicious and took a long time to finish. That was one heaping plate of food! A really good mix of fresh citrus flavored salad mixed with savory Middle Eastern gyro flavored meat and pickles on top of a hot mess of rice. Includes some pita bread and hummus to complement the dish. A little pricey at $20 but I imagine that's due to their event overhead. Would highly recommend.
