Hayes Street Grill

If you want to enter a time portal into the 1980's and dine on a Princess Cruise ship, then come to Hayes Street Grill. This restaurant is a complete throwback to the past starting with the decor and ending with the handwritten bill. All that being said, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I had the grilled pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots, and the pork chop was good. However there were literally only three things on my plate: a pork chop, mashed potatoes, and carrots...nothing else...no garnish, no sauce, nothing. My wife ordered the sole and it pretty unattractive to the eye but the taste was good. This was probably a great restaurant back in the day but the world has moved on and Hayes Street Grill has decided to stay in the past. I would recommend that you dine elsewhere.

Service was a bit slow due to the pre-theatre crowd but the food was tasty.

Tasty dishes, though pretty small (not at all filling) and fairly expensive. Scallops were the best part of our meal, but dessert was silly for that price. The flavors and quality are there but missing that "something" to justify $200 for 3 people when only 1 had a drink and we shared a dessert. It's good but not great.
