Excellent food, great beer, friendly staff

Let me start off with the good, the portion sizes were large and service was excellent. The problem was with the taste of the food. I think this might've been the worst BBQ place I've been to. The sides while massively sized had no flavour whatsoever. It was very bland like hospital food. The sandwiches had an excellent amount of meat in them but the bread and coleslaw lacked any taste. The meat itself was very dry and no amount of BBQ sauce would improve it.

Fantastic BBQ place. I grew up in Texas, this place reminds me of real Texas BBQ. The staff are always super friendly and helpful

Some cool cocktails. Love the smoked oak concept for some cocktails, really adds to the taste. Got the pulled chicken sandwich and they were kind enough to cater to my dairy allergy, it was pretty good. Great spot to hang with your friends and get social over adult bevys.

I ordered the burnt ends, maple smoked pork belly, brisket tacos, broccoli salad, beet salad, 3 corn breads with honey butter, a salted caramel cheesecake, a slice pecan pie, a 4 pack south block apple cider, and a 4 pack of south block raspberry ale. Everything tasted great, the flavors and cook on everything was perfect. I was annoyed that I asked for cutlery and they sent only 1 pack. Did you guys really think this order was only for 1 person? Lol. Better to give a couple extras out to one or two people vs. not enough for a group. What if we had none where we were? Just eat it with your hands I guess. This is not finger food. Luckily I had cutlery I just didn't feel like doing dishes but whatever. There definitely was not enough burnt ends portion to justify $18 for only meat with no sides, it should have been the same portion as the pork belly at least. But they tasted great. So maybe it would be worth it to some. I felt the same way about the dessert portions. If you are going to charge 10 bucks for a no bake cheese cake with a crunchie bar crumbled on top at least make it a decent size and don't give me a tiny slice of the pie either. The apple cider tasted more like a sour beer, definitely not anything like a somersby or okanogan or strongbow, so don't go in expecting that lol, still good though. Just not what I was expecting. Everything food wise really did have awesome flavors though. We really enjoyed this meal overall. My kids devoured everything except the beets lol. They even liked what this place did with the broccoli, so that was a win for kids vs. veggies for once.

All the meats were extremely dry and very bland. They definitely rely on you using their barbecue sauce, but even with that it wasn't great. Mac and cheese was good but very overpriced for the portion you got. The cocktails were also pretty bland nothing to phone home about and for the price definitely won't be going back. Also found it very weird that a meat place wouldn't have any potatoes.
