Havana Central Roosevelt Field

I visited Habana Central this weekend with my significant other and I was impressed with the cultural ambiance of this restaurant. I would to give 5 stars for the food because it is a representation of the authentic cuisine of Cuba's culture. My significant other ordered "Ropa Vieja" ,which is the national dish of the country. I decided to choose the Sandwich Cubano (aka Cuban Sandwich) and it was delicious. The ambiance was lit. I loved how they played "Oye como va" as soon as I walked into the restaurant. It is one of my favorite songs by Santana and Celia Cruz. The music played by the band was incredible. I am satisfy with the Caribbean music selection. They also played music from the Dominican Republic (the neighbor country); however, we felt rush with the service and the waiter and waitress. Please let people enjoy the moment. Thanks. Very disappointed! It's a beautiful restaurant, but the food was bad! My son and I ordered an appetizer sampler: the plantain pancake was too, too dry to taste! Beef was too salty, only the chicken was okay, but still a bit too dry! The shrimp with rice, the shrimps are definitely not fresh at all and the rice was a bit mushy! There comes a side salad with the food, the salad was simply from a bag of green mix. I am not sure how this restaurant can survive with this quality of food! By the way, it’s pretty hard to get a waiter or waitress if you need anything! Probably the restaurant was too big, so they couldn’t see you!
