Hattie B's Hot Chicken - Dallas - Deep Ellum

Ain’t nothing to write home about The chicken was fried way too hard! I left practically all the skin on the plate. Waste of money

Fantastic food if you’re not counting calories! Only reason I would give it a 4.9 out of 5 is because the chicken was a bit dry.

Amazing chicken sandwich

Hot chicken sandwich was perfect. Fries had a really good seasoning on them and were fried crispy. Wish I had a Hattie B’s where I live.

Had lunch 2/29/24 at this location. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had, the pickles and coleslaw on it is tasty. Had baked beans as a side. Spacious restaurant too.

This place is the prime example of why you shouldn't trust places just because they made a name for themselves elsewhere. I got my sandwich dipped in the "hot" level and it wasn't hot at all, it was poorly seasoned and it was hard as a rock, as if it were fried hours ago and sitting under a heat lamp the whole time. The mac and cheese was a mushy bland pile of slop that I couldn't finish and the food made me sick. I made several trips to the bathroom all through the night last night and my stomach still hurts today. Safe to say that was my first and last Hattie B's experience.

A avide Hattie B's fan here. I originally discovered Hattie B's in Nashville and been hooked ever since. Yesterday, Sat, Feb 2nd was my second visit to the Dallas location. We drove an hour to get there and brought another couple to introduce them to Hattie B's. Unfortunately we were very dissapointed. By buddy and I both ordered half chickens, hot. The chicken was overcooked. The dark peices were good but overcooked. The white pieces were so overcooked they were extremely dry. Needless to but as someone that bragged on this place and dragged another couple to experience Hattie B's, I was embarrassed. My wife doesn't like me to make a scene, especially in front of friends so I didn't complain. All in all, It was edible, just not good! We won't be bringing anyone to Hattie B's again! Now on the bright side, my wife's chicken sandwich, the collard greens and the coleslaw were all very good! Excellent service, very frienfly! Hoping my feedback helps with the quality issue!
