Irresponsible and Dangerous: A Warning to Potential Patrons! I am appalled by the complete lack of responsibility and care exhibited by the Hatch Cover. My recent experience at this bar has left me extremely concerned for the safety of its customers. Despite clear signs of extreme intoxication, the bartending staff of the karaoke section upstairs, failed to cut off a severely inebriated customer. Instead, they watched as this guy became completely intoxicated. It is unacceptable that three bouncers, aware of the situation, stood idly by and allowed this dangerous situation to escalate unchecked. When this guy was finally “escorted” out, he was in such a state of intoxication that he was unable to even walk properly and was found passed out in front of the bar, on a grass hill in 34° weather, with his jacket carelessly thrown across the sidewalk. It took a concerned customer (not the bar staff, who jokingly laughed and said it’s not in their job description) to call an ambulance and ensure that this guy received some medical attention and not freeze in the drizzle and low temperatures. Throughout this entire ordeal, it was evident that The Hatch Cover prioritized profit over the safety and well-being of its customers. The lack of concern displayed by both the bartender and especially the bouncers is absolutely reprehensible. It is clear that they have no regard for the welfare of their customers or the reputation of the bar as a whole. I would urge anyone considering this place to think twice. For a small bar, this is not a place where you can expect to be looked after or cared for in any way. Their irresponsible actions pose a serious risk to the safety and health of everyone who come. Avoid this establishment at all costs!

Came here to celebrate my birthday as a belated birthday celebration with a couple friends. Our server was Austin. He did absolutely amazing for us and was very attentive, kind, personable, helpful, & polite. He went out of his way to come check on us all the entire visit. We got a few 10 piece wings and a 20 piece wing platter w/ fries, veggies, and a couple beers. For myself, I got a raspberry margarita, which was amazing. The entire cost of the meal was $65 & some odd change. When it came time to pay for the meal, Austin asked preference of how I wanted my change, went and did the best he could, and did amazing start to finish for the whole visit. We did have a little one who enjoyed some veggies, some fries, and a little bit of a wing. He got us a high chair and asked us if we needed one right off the bat which was great. The food was amazing, as was every beverage we got from water to beer/margarita. Throughout the night, he made sure we were set the whole time on everything, and he went out of his way, even being super busy to do this. Whoever is reading this, PLEASEEEE GIVE AUSTIN A RAISE. He earned that 100%. Absolutely amazing all around. He is an amazing worker. We/I will absolutely be coming back because of how amazing the visit was. Hopefully when we do Austin will be there again! The service especially was wonderful. This visit was also my first time ever coming, so he provided recommendations to me as well and took the time to do so. Thank you SO MUCH to Austin for making the visit amazing and memorable!! You are very appreciated and an amazing person and asset to this business!!

I love Hatch Cover. My son and I go 2-3 times a month. They have great bar food and the service is what you expect in a pub/bar. Personally, I believe for the price, quality and serving sizes, you cannot find a better deal in Colorado Springs, believe me, I've looked. We love their burgers, wings, and all of their sandwiches. Their center of the plate items are good, but not like their traditional bar food like wings, nachos, burgers and sandwiches. For those of you that complain about the steaks or pastas, what do you really expect of a bar? Do you expect it to be on par with fine dining? If you do, then you shouldn't be able to leave reviews. Know the location and rate them based on the experience that should be expected. Just know when you go, it can be crowded. It can be loud. It's a bar. People do and say things when they drink that you won't hear at a typical sit down restaurant. If you are good with a bar atmosphere, this is the place. It's our go-to! Kid-friendliness: This restaurant/bar is best suited for adults only. Maybe you can take a kid there for lunch, but I don't recommend for dinner. It's a bar, you hear things you don't want your children hearing. I'm not offended, I know it's a bar, and I know what people say and do when they drink. Doesn't harm my review, but it's not an environment for children much under 18 years of age.

Happy place for good food, lots of fun and great service

Would love to give a full 5 stars the food is amazing and great portion sizes but the bartenders service is horrible not only did I get ignored , but when I finally did get help she still proceeded to ask what I need I tell her we had a Togo order and she goes around the bar making drinks then finally brings me my ticket I had my card in my hand ready to pay she started serving someone the person next to me that got to the bar after me I would understand if I had a big order then yeah or even if it was a busy night which it wasn’t. Service alone doesn’t make me want to go back

You all don't have a elevator for handicap people to get to second floor. We like singing too.
