Great food, clean place, good service, good value/price ratio. We love this place and eat here regularly, never disappoints. Update 2024: still my go-to sushi place in the area.
Unagi and avocado looked a day old and machine cut rice is the worst. The restaurant has a low key smell of ammonia. Some of the rolls are unnecessarily enormous. The food is far from Japanese fresh, beautiful cuisine.
My #1 go to for quality, service and price! I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve gone maybe at least once a month for the last couple years - just a huge fan of their consistency and menu options! I always get the 49er and Philadelphia or Alaska basic rolls, occasionally bentos!
I have been going to this restaurant for years and I rate the food 5 because I like the dragon roll and the miso soup. The miso soup is hot and creamy. I like the waitress because one time she remembered our order and once gave us free miso soup.
My sashimi was not fresh. I didn’t touch it at all. Just the smell threw me off. I did not enjoy this place.
Overall good was calm. Torikatsu was very good other dishes were a bit mediocre. Rice was meh.
I came tonight at 8 pm (Friday, December 8, 2023). It was good that they had WiFi. The food was also good. Unfortunately, I do have to mention that I did see a cockroach on the wall. Unfortunately, I also have to mention that the Korean waitresses made me feel rushed toward the end even though it was not 9 pm yet. At 8:53, the waitress asked me to sign the bill faster. She saw my tip before I left, which made me feel even more awkward. The bottom line is that my meal did feel rushed and therefore I didn't really get to enjoy the end of my meal properly. Even though that cockroach was high up on the wall and soon crawled out of sight, it did make me question the cleanliness of the restaurant and whether it is short staffed.
