DO NOT EAT HERE! I came here with my girlfriend and, we were both terribly disappointed. We ordered two mixed drinks to begin which were watered down and tasted terrible. The plates they gave us to eat our bread on were covered in old food and grease. The calamari nearly made me spit it out, it was chewy and room temperature and certainly frozen. Not to mention the entire time, there was no music at all. We played jazz on our phone and put it in the middle of the table. When the main dishes finally came out, the fish was so dry I could barely swallow it, the corn was straight out of a can, and my girlfriends dish was covered with so much sauce that she could barely take more than a few bites. This was quite possibly one of the worst food experiences i've ever had. CHOSE ANYTHING ELSE. My only regret was not taking pictures to show you all how bad it was but, take my word for it.
First time I had ever been there, ambiance was great, service was great and the food was amazing... guaranteed I'll be back
You get a lot of food for your value, and all taste great . This is a good place to go. Please bring back the chocolate Bread pudding.
I thank you to our waiter whom made the dessert special because he heard I loved bananas!! God bless this place!
I figured we would give it another shot as the last visit was horrible. I can definitely sat this place isn't for us. Food was super bland, order was wrong AGAIN, and when I try to talk to someone it's like pulling teeth. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Customer service and the food industry standards have fallen dramatically. I would be embarrassed to serve the food that I was given to eat. Someone needs to take a deep look into the staff at the location for simple abilities to serve good tasting food.
We've frequented Harry's a few times and it never disappoints. The warm wood atmosphere alone is enjoyable to dine in. The Jambalaya is delicious! We we there a few days ago which was Day 1 of their new specials. I wish I could recall the name of the special entree my husband had. The pasta was linguine flanked by an absolutely flavorful, a little spicy sauce with shrimp, scallops and sausage. I wished I had ordered it. I did have the Fresh Market Pasta which is Farfalle, spinach, chicken and shrimp in a Basil/ Parmesan sauce. It is also very good! I just plan on ordering what my husband enjoyed if they still have it next time. The Key Lime pie was impressive. It wasn't too sweet or pudding like as some restaurants have. This was flavorful and the best consistency for the pie. I understand that it is Harry's own. Bravo Harry!
Harry's was our favorite place in Ocala. We didn't realize there was one here in Gainesville. My wife was given a gift card to Harry's. Everything is super delicious here! I have never been disappointed in anything I've eaten at Harry's at any point at any time. Well worth the money. Never walk away hungry. The staff is super friendly Jillian was amazing. She should get a hook pin!
