Small mom and pop shop retro look. The food was great. Ordered the halibut and fries. Coud have put more fries for the portion is my only concern. That being said, I would rather have the quality. service was what you would expect. Not in a bad way. Close to DT UFT I'll definitely eat here again.
It’s ok. I was a bit disappointed with the batter - it wasn’t very crunchy and tasted a bit oily. The bottom of my fish was quite soggy but I did take it to go (~10 min walk). Fries were very good as was the coleslaw.
Way too much batter and grease for a very small amount of fish. May have been a one off so will give it another try hopefully there will be more fish. The fish and shrimp tasted fresh and pretty good, not too dry! Fries were also not bad. For the price, which is on the more expensive side, I expected better quality and taste. There are definitely better places. 5 stars for the tartar sauce though, one of the best sauces I’ve ever had !!
Always reliable, fresh, and delicious! And in a cool fish and chips “hut” where you can briefly pretend you’re right on the ocean. They have picnic tables when it’s warm but only takeout during the cold months.
Staff was very accommodating, prices were amazing, food was delicious!
They were really nice and ordered a sandwich. Was a bit disappointed by it. And I didn't see the fish & chip menu. Not blaming anyone; I would have to go again and get the star items to give a more accurate review.
Awesome halibut fresh, tasty and meaty with the fixings of homemade tartar sauce and lemon. Served in separate containers my Delivery came promptly with all the condiments I need to feel like I was at a beach storefront. I did order one piece but the size of the container looks like it was cut in half, so I got two pieces. I was also a client of this store with previous owners, for a decade or so. It's a slightly different type of batter and the tartar is homemade. I like a crunchy batter that's as close as possible to pub style. If they drain off a bit more oil before packing, and add a dash of salt it might be a bit crispier. There are few stores that serve fish and chips to begin with in the GTA. Support your local store and if you prefer a thick buttery and heavy morsel of fish, pay a bit more for halibut. If you have more people to feed and want a reasonable priced fish go for the haddock. Gravy is a large bowl but it needs to be much thicker. In general fish and chips isn't something I recommend for delivery. If you are in a car and it's close or you want a picnic it's fun to eat at the table at the take out in summer. Otherwise, these are just suggestions and you are always welcome to add me and I will follow back.
