An important fact for dining at Harbor Villa Restaurant is that they offer an option for takeout. The takeout counter for Harbor Villa is located next to Safeway. The takeout counter reads Dim Sum to go but in actually, I was informed that this is an extension of the restaurant. The Cafe counter offers combination plates which are very reasonable in price and excellent for Dim Sum and MuShu. Unfortunately, there is no seating. I enjoyed my selection of 4 combination food items. The yellow curry Hong Kong noodle are 5 stars.
I usually go to the small area downstairs, for food-to-go. I always get some very good dim-sum and other pastries, and very good flavor. It seems like a very authentic place, I even see tours of visitors from China stopping there, so must be the real deal ;-)
I think was the manager who takes my order and she gives me my order pretty much empty... one shop of fried rice mixed with chow mean.. half container empty... per 12 dlrs.. when normally they give a good size
Dirt cheap, and the quality follows suit. That’s not to say it’s bad, but you get what you pay for. I’ve been into the sit down restaurant once, and it’s good and fun and all, but the takeout place downstairs is where it’s at. They’ve got all the classics for cheap, and they’re super fast. Really nice staff too! I’ve got a lot of love for this place, but it’s really not very quality food and it has been shut down a number of times for... reasons. I’ve never had issues eating here, but I’m sure there are people that have.
Ordered ahead for takeout, and picked up at restaurant upstairs. On time for pickup and packed with care.
