Happy Lamb Hot Pot Restaurant

There were 6 of us and it was our first time visiting. Service - I would rate this 0 due to several incidents that happened on our particular evening. When called for service, waiters held their index finger up, without making eye contact, and walked straight passed you, and will either forget about you completely or return when it’s too late. However, the most shocking incident was when one of my guests observed a waitress deliberately trying to hide a clear red lipstick mark on one of our glasses and rotating it before handing it to us so that we could not see it. Not only was this proof of their unhygienic state, but her actions were outrageous. Just when you thought that must be all, one waiter responded in an unprofessional manner to a misplaced order that was caused due to a miscommunication on their end, “Well, you didn’t tell me”, putting the blame towards us for not keeping one another up-to-date. Surely, it’s their job to keep one another informed of any changes to orders? Food - I would rate it 2 because the hotpot was OK overall. I’ve had better elsewhere in London. There were definitely too much cut chilli in the spicy broth which made it annoying to have to remove them everytime you took a scoop. Several times the cradle ended up having lots of chilli and no meat/veg it was a faff. We did enjoy their lamb skewers and their mushroom platter had a nice variety. It’s fair to say that I will 100% not be going again nor recommending it to anyone I know.

really good hotpot with an array of different high quality dishes with really good broths - they were very flavourful ( maybe some a little too salty but still so good ) and very good experience and perfect for big groups! I recommend the platters of different foods so you get a variety & enoki mushrooms

The food was delicious, I really enjoyed my time at the Happy Lamb Restaurant. Dietary restrictions: Good dietary restrictions wise, clear labeling on the menu. And all the food u cook at your table. Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty good accessibility for wheelchair users, except for the front door is difficult.

So i heard of this place from tiktok very popular so i was excited to try this. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I arrived at the restaurant at 3.40 and was seated.. Was sitting there catching up with a friend, i waited 25 mins before noticing i was not even served and was waiting to order drinks, i could not see anyone and asked the cleaner there if she could get someone she agreed... another 15 mins passed and still nothing so i asked again in which the cleaner replies " the staff is eating you need to wait for them to finish" i was shocked all staff eating and no one to serve. Eventually we got our drinks and the staff were rude. We ordered using a paper and pen tick box thing with cooking times fpr each product, the server took this away and never returned with it so i had to guess the cook times till i thought it was done, during this time not once did someone check to see if we were ok or if we needed anything else. Even though i had to guess the times i will say the food was very nice, (im obviously amazing at cooking). The bill came and service charge was added i refused to pay this as the service was non existent, because of this the waiters were chatting to other member and giving me and my friend a rotten look. My advice get people who care about service as the food is good but the staff are questionable. I work in the food industry and this would be a major concern for investigation as it was rude and quite frankly an experience that makes me not want to return, whether food is great or not does not account for terrible service

Really nice hot pot place with good food - not all of it was what I was expecting (the fish balls had a roe filling!). Also wasn't expecting the reasonable portion sizes for the hot pot ingredients, so we ordered far too much! Loved the mushroom medley and the different broths - really flavourful. We had the small size broth, which was actually enough for 2-3 people without topping up. They don't have any alcohol free beers, so might be something worth considering!

My friends and I love Happy Lamb! It’s easily my fav Chinese hot pot restaurant in the UK. The lamb and beef is superb and comes in big portions; in fact, all ingredients are fresh and delicious. The lamb skewers are to die for! The staff are always very friendly and the ambience always great.

Tasty but expensive & loud. Lighting is a little jarring.
