I visited this restaurant when I was in town for a conference. A party of 4 of us went in for dinner and was sat in the bar area. Our waitress came over and was friendly and happy to take our order. We ordered two salads, one order of wings, and two burgers. We received our water and thirty minutes later I was informed that they had no more wings!!! I agreed to add grilled chicken to my salad. 20 minutes after that, still no food. All the while, several large groups that came in after us were being served left and right. What we received 30 minutes after that was a bunch of cold burgers and salads that were not worth the money. Big disappointment!!!

Well we are well seasoned foodies and know how to recognize all aspects of dining experience. Was this pricey? Yes a quality dining experienc (quality is subbgective ours is palate and ambiance experiencn) in Nashville is expensive.Period! But the establishment must be able to come through for the price.Litle idiosyncrasies and not majors in my book it is how they are addressed. This place has an upscale feel without having to dress for it if you do not want too.Super cool ambience. My wifes steak was under cooked but addressed effectively by Kevin the manager.Pur server Maria was super sweet. Was some service a little slow yes but we had drinks and music and was very comfortable. Again we do not major on the minors as long as it does not denigrate our over all experience Drink pours a little lite. They were spot on with their customer interaction!!!!! Thanks to Kevin and Maria!!!! We will definitely be back!!!!!!

Disappointed to say the least. Atmosphere is nice. Our waiter brought us appetizers and entre's at the same time. Hence, our steak along with the Mac & cheese were ice cold. I mentioned it to our waiter twice and his response was that since the kitchen had been running late all night, he put in all our order in at the same time. Too bad I paid for his bad decision. Next time, I "ll stick to the Bourbon Steakhouse at the Marriott. That's a real steakhouse!!!

We were excited to try Hand Cut Chophouse as it was highly recommended by our friends that had tried a different location. We went there on a Monday for lunch. We were sat promptly and greeted by our server within a few minutes ( this was promising). He took our drink order and our drinks came to our table about 10 minutes later. At this time we ordered our food. My husband ordered the steak sandwich with a side of fries and I ordered the steak salad. After our order was placed our server never came back to our table to check on us. My husband ended up going to the bar to get us another round of drinks. We finally saw our server walk by and we questioned when our food would be out ( it had been at least 45 minutes since we had ordered). He replied "soon". When our food finally arrived we experienced more disappointment. The steak sandwich was way overpriced for what we got( it was a basically a breadwhich ) and my steak salad didn't even come with any dressing on it. We had so many great options where to eat that day and we are kicking ourselves for even choosing this restaurant.

I have been here several times and had ok service. The hostesses are always nice but the servers have been mediocre. The food was always good not great but good for the value. Last week however I met a friend for lunch and ordered the steak salad. It arrived with lots of lettuce and a couple of cubes of steak on the top. As I started to eat, the steak smelled like it was a bit off but I wasn’t sure. My companion asked me if it was ok and I said it may be me but it smells a bit off. I didn’t report it at the time but managed to finish the salad and ran back to work. About an hour after I got back to work, I started to feel dizzy and the nauseous. I work with a nurse practitioner and she asked what I ate. I told her. She said she thinks I may have food poisoning. Shortly after that I was in the bathroom with projectile vomiting. Everyone suggested that I call the restaurant. After work I called and spoke to Kevin, the manager, who told me that it couldn’t be that got sick there because food poisoning takes at least 48 hours. (I think maybe his medical school was more informative than that of the NP I work with) He said that he would investigate and call me back. I’m still waiting. Bottom line is that things happen and not everything is controllable. Poisoning people is and how you deal with situations is important. I work in an industry that brings me in close contact with visitors to Nashville. I work at a big hotel one block from the restaurant. I recommend restaurants to my guests daily and have recommended many people to Hand Cut. You can imagine what I’ll be saying to my guests from now on. STAY AWAY!!!
