Hammerhead's Bar & Grille

Ate here while staying at Hotel Effie. The staff was friendly. Service was average at best. The food I got Mahi Mahi sandwich was dry, overcooked and lacked flavor and the French fries were average.

Nice setting on the bay.

Parking: Service is way below average. Food is way way below average. Very bland and expensive. I would not ever go back and do not recommend it to my worst enemy

We have tried Hammerheads many times but realized this year that we have been over charged and their prices are higher than anywhere else in Baytowne. One rail/well Margarita $16! Charged twice for one appetizer etc. We didn't catch any mistakes until a day later. We won't go back.

Pros: friendly service, outdoor seating, pet friendly, overlooks the bay, outdoor TVs Cons: mediocre food, severely overpriced, got my order wrong, no water brought out when asked

We visited Hammerhead's during the off-season. My wife and I both ordered the popcorn shrimp sandwich but were surprised to be served regular full-size shrimp on a bun. The shrimp were dry and flavorless. We expected much more for the hefty price tag. The drinks tasted as if the machine was not being cleaned properly. $64 dollars later and we left with empty stomachs and a lesson learned.
