We drive up from Montgomery every month or more to eat here because we love the Half Shells in Biloxi. I would have given all Half Shells five stars (if not more) but they made a couple changes to the menu recently that diminish the overall experience. The first is they took the smoked tuna dip off the menu. They had the best! We always ordered it and even got some extra to take home a couple of times. The second change is they no longer plate their oysters in rock salt. While that doesn't change the quality of the food, it makes the presentation stark and kind of sad. It's just not the same so we don't visit as often.
We stumbled on this place a few months back. The service is always wonderful, Rebecca, Eric, and the manager Spencer are always extremely nice. The food always spectacular. Atmosphere has a definite New Orleans vibe to it. Highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good New Orleans style food. The only downside I have to say is, when the snow crab claws are out, they do not also still offer the fried crab claws. The fried crab claws are definitely one of my favorite dishes. The snow crab claws, especially in the Orleans sauce are amazing as well. Just like the option of being able to eat either. But all in all, this place deserves 10 stars.
I ordered the seafood sampler and paid extra for oysters. The crab cake was the first thing I tried and was room temperature. The fish was tried next and was barely warm. Oysters and shrimp were very. I enjoyed the jalapeño hush puppies as well. However, I was disappointed in the overall meal.

Calm, great atmosphere. The raw oysters are wonderful and well priced. If raw isn't your thing, the oyster sampler is the way to go. Rockefeller, Orleans, chargrilled, and Bienville are all delicious but somewhat mask the flavor of the oysters.
Food was fresh and delicious.
Superb food and great service. We had a dozen baked oysters sampler platter and the oysters were on the smaller side so the sweet waitress brought us one extra of each kind. I got the crab claws sauteed and they were absolutely fantastic! My husband and I love this place for date night!
First time visit on a date. No crowd at all. It was couple’s night…not really but it was only 3 other seated tables and they were couples/date. The ambience very nice, jazz melody romantic, and our server Marcella was super kind. When my entree arrived, our server said, here you go Madame’. Bayou & Creole southern flare, it was the experience for me☺️ The host and all other staff were very nice too. Awesome first-time experience! I actually like small crowd it added more to the experience, seemingly. Oh my goodness…the entree’s were flavorful. Bisque and gumbo yummy. If you don’t like spice make sure you tell them to hold the spice. I felt the Louisiana vibe ️
