Hainan Chicken House | 海南鸡记

One of my recent favorite places— if family is visiting, we’ll head over. If it’s someone’s birthday, I suggest this place. Everything is delicious— favorites include: chicken liver mousse, Hainanese chicken, the pork, salted egg yolk prawns, clam seafood noodles, and curry laksa. The jammy ginger scallion sauce is perfect with everything and the broth is perfectly salted and flavorful. Order the bowl of the chicken rice and enjoy the unlimited tea as well as a refreshing bottle of wine (their wine list is excellent). Expect to wait a while on a Saturday night if you come after a wave, but it’s well worth it. The service is awesome and try to get there on the earlier side just in case a dish runs out at the end of the night. Weeknights can be easier to get a table. Can’t wait to be back again!

This place have good food and services. We came here almost the end of their operation hours but despite that we passed the time, the staff didn’t push us to leave to pay the bill immediately. The Hainan chicken over rice is good compared to other in town. The chicken is cooked right. The Milk Tea is a must! Delicious and smooth. Satay chicken is tasty and mild spicy with the sauce. Great taste Seafood noodle is spicy and the broth has a strong taste. I wish I can be a little less spicy and I don’t like the spell as much. Will try this place again next time.

I've tried many variants of chicken here. Most, if not all, were flavorful and unique yet simple in their ways.

One of the better ones. The chicken to the service I would say this is the best. I been here twice with an out of town friend and another with a couple with two babies. It was a lot to deal with. The waitress was so nice to us and food came pretty quickly. The food is delicious. I would try everything but don’t skip the chicken.
