Food was very good and the servers are very attentive to your need. It is a small location but is well worth it.
Having recently visited Okinawa, the food we were served shows that the owner has been gone too long. Worst of all, the employees never see any of the tips. Our check was north of $120 for 3, meaning she and her partner stole $25 from staff and put in their greedy pockets. I hope they enjoy their experience dealing with CA Labor Commissioner's office.
I loved this place the last time I was visiting, because I had not had okinawan food since leaving the island. I was really looking forward to having oki food again. Unfortunately when we showed up 2 hours before closing, the server told us that everyone was drinking pretty heavily and she didn't expect anyone to leave. We were then told to call next time even though it says no reservations on the website and Google info. We were only in town for the day and had to leave the next morning so it was pretty disappointing that they wouldn't even ask to see if anyone was going to leave or at least offer a to go option.
Small restaurant with a lot of character and lots of small plate options to share! recommend making a reservation if going for a popular dinner time, Loved the hamachi carpaccio. Definitely coming here again!
Fantastic restaurant. The Orion beer, the white corn, the peanut tofu, and the carpaccio are the highlights. The takoyaki, sukiyaki, and ramen were also great. Lots of new flavors. Very friendly. Dietary restrictions: Okinawan cuisine focuses on pork. Parking: Plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: It’s a very small restaurant. I wouldn’t bring kids here.
Truly reminded me of Okinawa. Make a reservation even during week day nights.
