Best beef tongue in the area, I gladly wait the almost an hour every time. Absolutely delicious!

I first tried Gyutan in Sendai and I couldn’t get enough of it while I was there. It’s so nice to have a location so near in Orange County. The best beef tongue you’ll ever have so much so you would know it was even tongue! This is the closest thing you’ll get to the real thing in Sendai. My top recommendation is the volcano bowl but the gyutan curry is a close second. Get there early to get a seat easier

I am very impressed with this BBQ Beef Tongue restaurant in the Mitsuwa market. I have never seen a restaurant that specializes in Beef Tongue or like my vato’s say.. Lengua which is my favorite taco. There was a line as expected and it takes a little bit but they did a great job of cooking my beef tongue which worried me the most because it becomes chewy if you over-cook it. My plate also came with a beef tongue soup which had pretty nice Chunks of beef tongue so they don’t skimp. The pieces were nicely charred thick cuts that didn’t require any sauce. I would take this platter over a rib eye steak because it’s so tender and delicious. I highly recommend and will definitely return! What a great addition to the food court!

One of the tenants in Mitsuwa’s food court. Their Gyutan set seems to be most popular. And I can totally see why. For the price of 20 ish, you get 8 - 12 pieces of tenderly grilled beef tongues, a bowl of rice and a bowl of green onion beef soup.

I love this place! Their Gyutan has great flavor and tender. Must try.
