Hello, I came to the east village location to dine in on Friday night around 8pm after a long day of work. I am a huge fan of Gyu Kaku and have been to most of the New York locations several times. This was my first time at the east village location and I did not enjoy my time there. My server was not satisfying, nor was she even coming to check on us. The food took about 45 minutes to come out. She had the table grill on the highest level, which burned all of our food because we didn’t know how to turn it down and our server was nowhere to be found. Also, the restaurant was very hot. After stating these concerns to our server she kind of brushed us off. A drink was spilled on our table. To sum it up, this was not how I planned to spend my money or long Friday night after work. Any accommodations would be appreciated. Thank you.

Excellent value for money & fun to cook yourself. The meat was melt in the mouth (kobe short rib & chicken teriyaki) & the garlic shrimp nice and juicy. Would come back for these reasons. Would rate it higher but the vegetables & sides were poor, service mediocre, and despite being busy the place felt a bit lifeless

Amazing service and food, The Server is very attentive her name is NiNew and she is superb! we had Meat Lover and Wagyu set such amazing recommendations. Would revisit!!

Amazing value! Recommend the spicy cabbage and the harami pot steak. Lychee martinis are so good too! Our server KK was very attentive and helpful!

I always love coming here for lunch. The food is very delicious. I enjoy the atmosphere. The server K.K is very friendly. Vegetarian options: There's a few vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: They have some options for children.
