Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

The meats here we very bland and not very tasty. I wanted to enjoy the side dishes, however a lot of them ended up being disappointing. The fried garlic rice was very salty and the toro pork was sliced very thick. This review is a bit harsh because of the quality I am used to back home, perhaps it is good for the meat in Hawaii? The service here was exceptional. I really enjoyed the quick service and they constantly made sure we had our waters filled and our grills changed. Even though the food was not the best, the service made it less disappointing.

We enjoyed Gyu-Kaku. You cook your own food (mostly). We had Harami Skirt Steak with Miso marinade, and asparagus.

We had the 45 Premium All You Can Eat. Most of the side dishes(i.e.edameme, cabbage) were just okay. The meat selection is fairly wide and tasty. However the service can be a little slow and inattentive

Great food, and very good service on a busy Friday. Open table said they were out of reservations, but we called and they got us in with 30 minutes notice. -1 star for being 10$ more than the other locations on the island for the same menu tiers; if you can get to the other ones, saves quite a bit for a family.

Wonderful food and service! 10/10 lunch specials til 4 weekdays. Sharon was a wonderful waitress!

Great food and drinks!

Food is amazing and the servers were very attentive. We did the premium package and it was all worth it. The kids really enjoyed the beef tongue. The duck breast just melted in your mouth. There wasn't one item that we didn't savor. The matcha ice cream is to die for.

Excellent service with a tourist and family friendly atmosphere. This is a very accessible authentic experience for those who are new to Japanese food culture.
