Gyro Xpress is one of my favorite Castro restaurants. They are established in the Castro and support the community. I love the vegetable bowl. Vegetarian options: Great vegetable bowl.

It is a very needed spot when all the restaurants close after lunch and you find yourself starving. I have had better meat but the hummus was divine and the chicken gyro was good too. Occasional naked guy walking past the windows added to the experience:D

The guys are super handsome. The food is delicious, whether you're sober or trying. Got garlic fries tonight and feeling privileged.

Place is good for people watching. I came to eat here though. They put really sweet honey based tahini on my chicken shawarma. It was inedible. Never would I add super sweet tahini to my meal. It's so hard to find world class shawarma. In Germany the imbiss stands are fantastic. This place used to be pretty good. Too bad.

Good late night stop for a quick bite. Got my gyro to go... taste like your Typical American Gyro. would be better if they didn't roll the foil into the food everytime though. And avoid the hot sauce.. it's not the right kind, they should use chili oil. The baklava is dry - wouldn't recommend Spanikopita is pretty big and tasty.

Yeaaaah… 4 stars. They have a language barrier sooo.. be Very specific about what you’re ordering.. It’s All good… of course they are horrific’ly cute.. so.. you just kinda put up with it.. I’ll be be goin again!

I was really happy with this food. It hit the spot big time. Plenty of seating, beer and wine available. Amazing hummus and rice. Very good everything actually. The employees were handsome and friendly.
