Perfect place for a quick bite

Disrespectful cashier and owner. Double charged me for my order. The owner of the restaurant contacted offering a refund and apologized acknowledging fault. Did not receive refund and they lied in the charge dispute to the bank.

The koshary here is really really good (and vegan!), possibly my favorite meal in Jersey City. (it's a large portion of lentils, chickpeas, rice, and noodles mixed together, with multiple sauces to mix in that really make the dish - only available on Saturdays). The five stars are for the koshary, but the falafel is pretty good too - it's covered with coriander seeds that give it a good flavor (though the accompaniments the falafel comes with in the pita or plate are nothing special).

Great food, husband is Egyptian so we get excited for good authentic Egyptian food, it's a great meal for sure!!

Average food. Chicken kabob was not cooked well. Inside smelled like strong Lysol and we had to eat outside.

This place is the move at least once a week… Definitely for Falafel and Chicken Kabab for me regularly.

On a Sunday night after traveling all day, our group stopped in for Gypsy Platters and pita sandwich. Everything was delicious, very flavorful. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food! Generous portions, fast service. Falafel was excellent (had a great sesame texture) and garlic sauce was excellent with the chicken schwarma.
