This is real bread! Exceptional! I searched for years for a good sourdough loaf because grocery store bread is garbage. This is one of only two places I’ve found that makes a truly fantastic loaf of bread and I highly recommend it! I’ll be back for more.
the best fresh baked bread on 4th street!
Hot chocolate: very good. Only place I've had it like this outside of Mexico. Mole empanada: very good. Doña: good. Bolillo: meh.
Remodel looking great, double the space and new seating inside! This is a real community bakery, like I've never seen--people line up early to get their pan dulce and cafecitos, then they stay, sit, and chat in the patio. Passing it, you'd think it was a restaurant. It's not even my favorite kind of bakery, but I love visiting it.
A stellar establishment. As soon as you walk in, you can feel the love and care that's put into everything. I was impressed that they've got a vintage McIntosh stereo system and turntable, spinning eclectic tunes on sweet vinyl. The bread and coffee are out of this world. They've got sweet and savory pastries, Mexican specialties, and a selection of spreads and jams to take home. The tables are cozy indoors and the outdoor seating is very inviting as well. The staff are unfailingly nice. Service is attentive but not intrusive. I highly recommend.
Coffee de Olla tasted great... cinnamon came through well.
I love the Biscuit but where I come from it is called a scone.Thank you.A favourite
