Gumbo's Bar and Restaurant

Well I'm from New Orleans, and I wasn't really impressed with the flavor of the Gumbo my recipe is definitely better. But the Jambalaya was pretty good.

First time here today 03/27/24. The service was EXCELLENT, very friendly nice young woman. I ordered the eight piece wings which looked and tasted like coney island wings ugg. Also I got the seafood platter which was one piece of catfish, eight pieces of shrimp, fries and hush puppies. The fries were soggy and looked like everything else was all cooked together, not happy. Also, I got the gumbo with shrimp which was delicious. I spent $44.65 when I could have made this at home with the frozen foods I have. Unfortunately I won't be returning.

Absolutely, Love this place. Quality and taste of food and atmosphere remind me a bit of New Orleans. Get our fix every time we go there. Jambalaya and gumbo are nearly perfect in my opinion!! What a great MT. Clemens dinning experience!!!!!

Such a gem! This little spot in downtown Mount Clemens is such a great restaurant. The atmosphere is top notch, while it may seem small, it has two nice wings that bring you between bright and cozy to lowly lit and romantic. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Best cornbread I've ever had and their hush puppies are what hush puppies should be, at least this far north! Highly recommend you go and go again. The service was friendly and responsive too. Will definitely be going back myself!

The food, service, and atmosphere are fabulous. The red beans and rice were amazing, I know I'm going to be craving it soon. The fried catfish was the best I've had. The Mac n Cheese was devine, seriously folks if you like Mac n Cheese, you must try this place. The cornbread and hush peppies were award winning in their supporting roles. Jenn is a fun, outgoing, and attentive bartender and waitress. I can't wait to bring the rest of the family here to check it out.

This place has great food! The service was great! Everyone in our dinner party loved the food there. If you haven't eaten there yet, you need to try it out! 3-7-24 My wife had a birthday dinner for me there last night. They were even better than I said above. They went above and beyond to make sure our whole party was satisfied and taken care of. It's was a great experience, and made getting older not so bad, lol.
