Gumbo Stop Cafe

Awesome place with fantastic food!! We had the shrimp and crawfish etouffee and they were delicious! My personal favorite was the cheesy crawfish bread!! If ever back in the area will definitely stop in again!!

Were delighted and surprised at the quality of our food, just because they aren’t located down on the Gulf. Got the shrimp étouffée and the shrimp was huge; the entree cooked & seasoned to perfection! My husband got the jambalaya and he loved it! Definitely recommend! Very few number of tables inside which is why I did not give it five for atmosphere.

We stopped by here several weeks ago now. I've meant to leave a review several times and keep getting side tracked. We stopped in on a Monday not realizing she was closed. We drove almost 2 hours because it's one of our favorite little hidden gems. I believe it was the owner, but I'm not sure....she was unloading supplies, stopped what she was doing to wait on us. The food was delicious as usual and we so very appreciated the accommodation

Really, really good. They offer a "Lovin Spoonfuls" sampler that has shrimp etouffee, gumbo, red beans and rice and jambalaya. Because I made puppy dog eyes at them they also gave me a taste of the cheesy grits. Everything is amazing and to top it off they have about 20 hot sauce choices ranging from Texas Pete vinegar sauce to some serious "make your eyes water" stuff. I will definitely be back.

Great and I mean great place to eat. Hands down my favorite local shop to eat. The Greek salad is amazing po boys make you feel like a rich boy last the gumboo is off the chain. When I work my second job I eat there every shift.

My very favorite place to eat. We try to get there as often as possible. Everything is so good. I thought I didn’t like Cajun food, but they sure changed my mind! I usually slurp everything down so fast I don’t take pictures so this was the most recent order! Lol Cheesy crawfish bread and hot sauce is an absolute MUST!

The food was amazing! I’ve never had anything like it. We will definitely be going back.
