Gumbo 2 Geaux

Food was amazing! We always like to try local own places when we travel. My family is Cajun, so I know my Cajun food and I was not disappointed. This place was wonderful! The service was great and so was the food! Highly recommended if you are looking for some good Cajun gumbo and étouffée.

It's a truly authentic taste of South Louisiana. The ownership and staff are amazing! The decor is a whimsical assortment of items expressing Louisiana culture. And let me tell you the food was so good I didn't have time to take a picture. #yummy

The owner and her husband are often the ones taking order and making the food. They are so sweet, funny, and fast! Don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations, I did was pointed to the shrimp po’ boy. Soooooo freaking goooood! Excellent gumbo, I prefer the seafood, generous amounts of shrimp. Don’t forget the cornbread. Love this place!

The Po’ Boys here are world class. Super friendly folks behind the counter too. Not too spicy, not spicy at all really, for the folks afraid of heat. Just very very tasty! Big portion too on the sandwich.
