Guilin Chinese Restaurant

Visiting from out of town and I was so excited to find a place that had General Tso Tofu. I ordered that and the veggie spring rolls. I wasted my money. The spring rolls were meh but the general tso tofu was so bland! It barely tasted like anything! The sauce almost tasted like a sweet and sour sauce….except so mild! I could barely eat any of it. I thought it was just me until I read other reviews talking about how bland their food is, glad it’s not me.

By far my fav spot for lunch. BEST $$ lunch specials, fast service and always fresh! I have tried several dishes, and all have been excellent. My fav is the Hunun Chicken (shrimp and beef option) Hunan is a spicy brown sauce... And has lots of veggies. The specials comes with a choice of eggroll or crab puffs, choice of egg drop soup or hot n sour soup, choice of rice ( fried, white or brown) they also have the option of "oil free" if you ask. There are also meatless options and vegetarian meat on the menu (I haven't tried cause I love me some CARNE! It does tend to get busy, I always see a lot of pick ups, and they also deliver but I always enjoy dining-in, solo.
