Guava Smoked

We enjoyed our first visit today for lunch! Great people and delicious food. You gotta look for it but it’s worth it.

I went in on super bowl Sunday looking for a place that was not playing the super bowl and extremely extremely packed full of loud people, I found a coupon for this place in Hawaii's best coupon booklet and it looks so good. So I googled it to check out the rest of the menu and all the reviews had nothing but amazing things to say. So I looked through the pictures and everything looked so incredibly delicious. I couldn't pick which thing to order. By the time I got there, I settled on the smoked chicken burger. I ended up getting the platter with macaroni, salad and kimchi. The food was so delicious. I immediately understood why all of those reviews couldn't say enough good things about this place!! I normally don't ever eat a full pate of food from anywhere but I ate every last bite. The chicken was moist but and charred in that really yummy way. The sides were exactly what I wanted. Just nice classic Hawaii Mac salad and fresh juicy kimchi was perfect. I was a little confused initially when I got to the front because the entrance is around the corner up a flight of stairs or an elevator, but it only took me moments to figure out. I liked that they had an elevator option because my ankles were really tired so that was nice to not have to use the stairs. The dining room is very spacious with lots of seating and there is also patio where I could look out onto the golf course while I ate 15/10 I could not say enough good stuff about this place. Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator up to the restaurant right next to the stairs.

Quaint little quick-service spot! It has laid back vibes, and it feels like a beach restaurant. * Smoked Pork - Very tender and flavorful. They use the wood of a Guava plant and as a result, the meat has a subtle sweet flavor to it. * Loco Moco - They use a pork patty for their version. The meat was flavorful, egg very runny, and the sauce tasted as expected. * Fried Rice - Get the surcharge and get the scope of fried rice with your meal instead of the plain rice. They fry it with the smoked pork! * Butterfish Collar - WOW! Smooth, buttery, smoky, melts in your mouth. You do have to pick around the outside of the fish a little bit, and bones, but the meat is incredible. * Smoked Chicken thigh - Had the smoky, sweet flavor, but wish it was just a tad bit juicer. * Mac Salad - Typical Mac salad, can't go wrong! * Guava Bar - The guava taste is very subtle, wish it was stronger. The pastry part was good - kind of like a shortbread.

Great food and friendly staff

Myself along with 7 other people ordered food for pickup, and we were told that our orders can't be fulfilled due to other people who had ordered big orders for the previous day. That's horrible, and horrible for business. There shouldn't be an option to online order if YOU CAN'T FULFILL ORDERS!!!

The smoked salmon bellies are absolutely delicious.
