I am biased here as this place is part of my weekly routine, so take this with a grain of salt. My favorite bar in Wooster. Cocktails always made with appropriate glassware, ratios, and ice (not a given at many places). Jean marc is a cocktail wizard, do not be afraid to order classics (or really anything) not on the regular menu, if they have the ingredients (or anything close), he will be able to put together something delicious. For a menu cocktail I love their Paper Plane variant the Cleveland Jet. They make great Boulevardiers, Negronis, Daquiris and Manhattans. Have good options for wine by the glass, and a selection of bottles that is even better (speaking at least for the things that I like, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Port). Appropriate glassware for each wine as well, and will decant or chill as needed to get to correct aeration and/or temperature. Near perfect bar lighting. Tastefully decorated, with regular changes in artwork.
I make a point to stop at Grigio every time I visit. The cocktails are expertly crafted and I have yet to find one that isn't absolutely delightful. The staff is well-versed in the menu—and their recommendations are incredibly helpful if you're feeling indecisive. The staff is also very attentive. On my last trip, my group checked out the speakeasy. It was beautiful but *very* cold and so Patrick, a staff member, brought me a blanket.
